Clown Unit Working on Fresh Ideas for Upcoming Year

As usual, the clowns are working on fresh and fun ideas for upcoming skits.  We are blessed to have so many creative and innovative people participating in generating ideas.  The clowns who consistently show up to brain storm and rehearse are truly a treasure (you know who you are).   After a brutally hot summer we are looking forward to cooling off a bit, and wish to extend to all the ladies of our court a happy and heathy holiday season.

We are pleased to have the following businesses in our community as sponsors this year:

  • “Ceremonial” Sponsors: Seaside Air in Bradenton
  • “Regal” Sponsors: Volvo Sarasota

If you would like to become a sponsor click here for the form.

We also have numerous businesses who have already donated items for our silent auction. The items range from jewelry to 2-night stays at a beach resort. They include Silver Resorts, Alcover Massage, Anna Maria Oyster Bar,  Hunt Valley Jewelers, Wooly Dutton, and Ringling Museum

It is not too late to donate. No donation is too big or too small! Click here for the ‘in-kind’ donation form. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.

Fashions this year are provided by Evelyn & Arthur, in Sarasota and  Touchstone Jewelry with Courtney Mulaney.  Both the fashions and jewelry will be available for purchase at the show and through orders. Our silent auction will feature items such as spa packages, jewelry, artwork, 2-night stays at beach resorts, and so on.  We will have the 50/50 fundraiser and door prizes.  The menu includes a choice of three entrees: Miso Salmon, Citrus Chicken, or Vegetarian Pasta Primavera.

Hello From 2nd Ceremonial Lady

Hello everyone. I am honored and looking forward to being of service to SAR-I Court and starting my journey to the East. This first year as 2nd Ceremonial Lady will be a year of learning for me. I want to get know each and every one of you and how best to support our purpose.  I am beginning to think about the fashion show and welcome information on what worked and what didn’t in the past. All ideas will be appreciated and of course, I will need volunteers for the committee. Call or email me. I am in the book!

SAR-I Court Website

By Lady Kowena Suckstorf

We did it! We are taking SAR-I Court #79 into the 21st century with the development of a website. The website is essential to keeping our members informed of current and upcoming events. We can see, on demand, things such as status of fundraisers, newsletters, meeting minutes, and financial reports. The website is also outward-facing, providing much-needed visibility for potential, new candidates. It will make our fundraising events discoverable, expanding awareness of and attendance to the community.

We are in the very early stages of development. Over the next few months, we will be building and testing the site. All ideas and feedback are welcomed. We will also need volunteers for the development committee, backup administrator, and site testers. Please email me if you want to help.
